My Peg

I almost am obsessed with Leighton Meester's look. I usually use her as my peg for "natural" makeup. She has a beautiful face and when she walks the red carpet for any event her makeup is almost always perfect ( I say almost because I saw a picture of her with her face whiter than her neck and chest..the geisha look is a pet peeve of mine)
Anywhoo, I still love her as Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl. She rocks!

These are the looks she usually wears

Promod Spring-Summer 2009 Fashion Show

I was both dazed and excited to have been chosen as the makeup artist for the fashion show of French clothing brand Promod. They launched their Spring- Summer 2009 collection with a hip and trendy fashion show, which was held last night at the Greenbelt 5 Fashion Walk. I had my team with me and we had a great time. Thanks to Chelle my co-makeup artist, Janet and Rae the hairstyling wonders, Char the star for recommending me for the Promod photoshoot that led to the fashion show ( mwah!!) , Grace for the behind the scene pictures and Matt Tagle for the runway photos. The collection was awesome. I ran to the nearest Promod today and used my GCs ( Thanks Pam Sison and Vogue Concepts). Check out their stores in TriNoma, MegaMall, Mall Of Asia and Ayala Center in Cebu

Bath Time with Brad

I love Kiehl's "Aloe Vera" Biodegradable Liquid Body Cleanser. It's a 100% biodegradable cleanser and ooohlala it feels like velvet on your skin and smells so fresh. You'll be singing while you shower. But wait..that's not all.. The hottest man alive ....uhuh.. Mr. Brad Pitt himself partnered with Kiehl's to bring us this excellent wonder. He even wrote on the label with a message and signed it (one bottle I will never throw away)

"Kiehl's formulated this product to minimize the impact we have on our environment. ALL proceeds will go to benefit green initiatives around the globe".
Brad Pitt
I dunno about you but I'm hooked. Try it. Available at Kiehl's Greenbelt.

Chanel Iman with My Balenciaga Work

Chanel Iman with a Balenciaga Giant Work Bag

I am so happy to have scored this baby recently ( It's my very first luxurious delight). It looks gorgeous on Chanel Iman. Lovin' it. It goes with most but better that it goes lovely with black, the color I usually wear. I love Balenciaga next to Louboutin and Lanvin.

Air Brush Makeup

Airbrushing is a revolutionary way of applying flawless make up. The foundation is sprayed on to the face in a fine mist using an air gun. There are two kinds of foundation: silicone based or S/B and water based or aqua foundation. I just love the way it stays on the whole day. I favor the water based foundation more because it can withstand humidity and extreme heat here in the Philippines. Silicone based looks great on the runway and print since it stays light on top of the the skin and does not wedge into fine lines and crevices, therefore making it look more flawless. Take your pick. I use both types for various jobs. I would recommend airbrush make up if you are about to be a bride. It stays on the whole day so you are worry free from touch ups through out your special day ( it lasts through all the photo ops too). For more info visit http://shop.temptu.com/c-2-cosmetics.aspx
As sample of my work using airbrush.

This is my set. A loving gift from my sister. I call it my magic wand.

Iam glad that one of my favorite makeup artists' of all time has come back from his 10 year hiatus to create looks for Marc Jacobs' Fall - Winter 2009 fashion show ( info from chuvaness.com). I hope he develops more innovative makeup products and makeup looks. Looking forward to the works of this genius.

Go Green with Starbucks

I just love love my Starbuck's recycled tumblers. I first purchased a small one for the convenience of taking water or coffee with me to work. I needed a compact yet non leakable container so I wouldn't worry if I dumped it in my bag. Then I realized the small one didn't hold as much drink as I would have liked it to. A friend noticed I was making multiple trips to the water dispenser during shoots and so I explained. The next Starbucks coffee run we had she purchased one for me. (Thanks Ainge !) Now, I use the big one for water and small one when I purchase my fave drink at Starbucks ( you get P5 off if you bring your own recycable tumbler and at the same time you help the environment). Price range: P500 - P900. A bit price-y but worth the cause and being hassle free from leaky containers.
