When I heard that the International Makeup Artist Trade Show ( IMATS) was going to be in New York for the very first time this year I booked my tickets 6 months in advance. I got my friends Arturo ( who ended up not going due to a new job position) , Malinda and Cecile to come with me. Take note that this is my very first makeup show so excited was an understatement.

It was a very hectic 2 days but it was so worth the driving time and effort to actually be there. Will post a summary of what I purchased at the show ( that would be a whole new blog entry). I'm excited for The MakeUp Show in May 2011.

I'm Back!

I'm baaaacccckkkk!! I haven't blogged in over a year and  I have been inspired to blog again. Just to update you with what has occurred in the last year. I have moved to the United States to seek better opportunities and secure a better future for my daughter. Iam currently employed at Sephora and I'm loving my job as a makeup artist.

It has been a very trying year for me and  I'm still struggling to get to where I want to be.  This time you can look forward to the best makeup and skincare products, tips and tricks of the trade all from an insiders or should I say Beauty Insiders point of view. There is so much I want to share especially about skincare which I have an absolute passion for now. Welcome to my zone.

Kickin' Back with Flojos Flip Flops

I was never really a fan of flip flops until they started showing up on fashion runways and when Havaianas made the perfect beach buddy in a wide range of colors. Ok that was years ago. I'm finally convinced that flip flops should be a staple in my life since I live in an Island after all..( islands.. there are 7,100 Islands in the Philippines) Now, with all the flip flop brands out there to choose from I just want a pair that is versatile, meaning it won't look like "rubber" slippers or "tsinelas na pang bahay" ( house slippers) so I can get away with those days that I'm lazy to wear shoes. I'm so glad that a brand of flip flops came out with comfortable slippers that have a variety of classic colors ( I love neutral colors). Flojos® (pronounced flo-hos, meaning “kick back” in Spanish) are so comfortable and stylish. It's rubber finish is like velvet and it has support for the heel and arch.
