I Can Live Here

There is a photo contest sponsored by HCG.
HCG is a brand of bathroon fixtures like sinks, toilets, shower enclosures, bathtubs etc. HCG came up with this photo contest to show how the bathroom is the new living room of the house. Just send an email with a photo attachment, creatively showing how the bathroom is the true living room at icanlivehere@gmail.com. The prize is a bathroom showcase. The contest is brought to you by HCG and the ANC TV Show Philippine Realty TV ( Saturdays at 11pm on ANC). The contest runs from Feb 1-11,2009. So, hurry email those creative photos.

This contest reminded me of a photoshoot we did a few years back. This picture would later become a part of my makeup portfolio. The model is Pia Puno with barely there makeup. So, thanks to Pia and the ever so talented Photographer Kaye Cunanan for the photo.

A Good Cause

Angel wearing her funky designed Rafe t-shirt.

I did Angel Jacob's makeup for a feature on Daphne Osena's show Urban Zone. The show will feature the collaboration of New York based fashion designer Rafe Totengco and Team Manila for theTapulanga Foundation .

The Bacolod based Tapulanga Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit charitable organization that helps provide educational, healthcare and micro-credit assistance to communities in the Hda. Tinihaban and neighboring areas.

Marie Claire's Editor In Chief Ms.
Myrza Sison has been on the campaign for these shirts for a couple of months now. She was there to shed some light on the Tapulanga Foundation and its cause.

Bourjois Paris Special Baked Powder Blush

One of my favorite make up products to use both on clients and myself. It goes on sheer and it's buildable, meaning you can use a little and add more color to get to the deepest shade you desire. It also goes on sheer enough for you to blend and adjust, perfect for everyday. It isn't available locally but if you have friends or relatives that live near a Sephora store,I say grab yourself a pot or even three of these delectable smelling blush pots. Comes in 18 shades in three different effects. See list below for the perfect shade for you.

Sculpting blushes accentuate the hollow under the cheekbone (ex: Sienne 85, Santal 92 & Brun Poudre 12).

Healthy look blushes delicately color the cheeks (ex: Rose Eclat 15, Cendre de Roses Brune 48 & Rose Frisson 54).

Satin-effect blushes enhance the contours of the cheekbones (ex: Lilas D'Or 33, Rose de Jaspe 95 & Brun Illusion 11).

cost : $14.00 a pot

Mulatta

This is Terri Bivins. She's half Filipina, 1/4 latina, 1/4 African American. I met Terri when she joined the Ms. Fitrum 2008 contest on the hit noontime show Wowowee. I love her color. I used Fanny Serrano's 2 way foundation in Rajah. Accentuated her brows with dark brown eyebrow powder and coated her eyebrows with MAC brow set in Beguille. Lined her eyes with dark brown gel eyeliner and double coated her lashes with my ultimate fave mascara Cover Girl's Lash Blast in darkest brown. Then used a white / silver eyeshadow on the inner corner of her eyes to make her beautiful eyes "pop" out. Dusted a bronzing powder on her beautiful cheekbones and used Nars lip gloss in temptation for her lips. I had fun working with her during her stint in the pageant.
